Thanks for your interest in Open Mike. Some of the questions that I have been asked many times in the MicroPhone world: Where are all the examples? What's DialogerPro and how do I use it? What do I do when I've read the manual cover to cover but still need some assistance? How can I write a script to log onto Telenet, SprintNet, Tymnet, InfoNet, PeaceNet, WorldNet, FishNet? Why should I concern myself with scripts?
Well, for all of these questions, I believe Open Mike is the answer. Not only will we tell you how to get the best mileage out of MicroPhone II or MicroPhone Pro, we'll pop the hood for you and show you what's inside. You'll learn how to take full advantage of your modem, your telephone line, your time, and your energy. We'll even be able to help you with your phone bill (we can't make it go away, but we can certainly try to make it a little smaller).
I've taken a look at a lot of communications packages, everything from freeware and shareware to big monsters that cost thousands of dollars. From what I've seen, MicroPhone looks like the best all around deal, both from a useability point of view, and from a development point of view. No where else can you find a package that has a small learning curve, clean and elegant interface, and decent documentation. The price is a little steep, but you certainly get what you pay for. Well worth the price of admission.
So, set some time aside for yourself and roll up your sleeves. The adventure is about to begin…
